Todd L Sack, MD, FACP
Chairperson & Executive Director
Dr. Sack lectures and publishes widely about environmental sustainability for health professionals and managers. He chaired the Florida Medical Association’s Environment & Health Section for ten years and has served on many non-profit boards related to the environment and public health. He is a member of the Working Group on Health Professional Education and Communication of the National Academy of Medicine’s Action Collaborative on Decarbonizing the U.S. Healthcare Sector. In 2023 & 2024, he is President of Physicians for Social Responsibility, an organization recognized by two Nobel Peace Prizes. He has authored more than twenty policy positions related to environmental sustainability that have been adopted by the Florida Medical Association, the American Medical Association, and other health professional societies. He graduated with the BS degree from Yale College and the MD degree from the University of California School of Medicine at San Francisco. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at the H. Wertheim College of Medicine where his research concerns climate change communication in healthcare offices. James M Connelly MBA
James Connelly is one of the most influential leaders in the corporate sustainability and green building movement today. He is a frequent keynote speaker on regenerative design, sustainable business, and laboratory sustainability. He is an avid writer, and his research and commentary have been featured in news outlets such as China Dialogue, CGTN TV, Engineering News Record, Building Green, Trim Tab, Sustainable Brands, and GreenBiz.
Mr. Connelly currently is the Chief Executive Officer of My Green Lab. Before this, he was the Vice President of Strategic Growth for the International Living Future Institute (IFLI), where he led international growth strategy and became a founding board member of Living Future Institute Europe. At ILFI, he created several leading-edge sustainability programs, including Declare, an innovative ingredient transparency label for non-toxic building products; Living Product Challenge, the world’s most advanced sustainability standard for building products; Just, a social equity label for organizations; and Zero Carbon Building Certification. He has received many scholarships and awards for his research and work; notably, he received a 2012 Fulbright Fellowship to study green building rating systems in China; was selected as a Greenbiz “30 under 30 Sustainable Business Leader in 2016”, and as a “Net Zero Energy Trailblazer” in 2019.
Robin Cooper MD
Dr. Robin Cooper, MD, is Co-Founder and President of the Climate Psychiatry Alliance. She has been in private practice for forty years focusing on both psychotherapy and medical management. She is Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco, where she has served many different roles in education and supervision. She has served on a number of non-profit boards of directors, and has represented the California Psychiatric Association to the California stakeholders’ organization, California Coalition for Mental Health. Her interest in climate change’s impacts on the mentally ill derives from her many years of political work in climate change politics—specifically working with Citizens’ Climate Lobby to advocate for national legislation of a carbon tax which would return revenues to American families. She is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
Joy Lloyd-Montgomery MPH
Ms. Lloyd-Montgomery’s commitment to My Green Doctor stems from her belief that encouraging environmental sustainability and community education helps to optimize health outcomes, reduces health disparities, and fosters environmental justice. Ms. Lloyd-Montgomery received her Master’s Degree in Public Health from George Washington University, worked as a Program Manager for the American Psychiatric Association Foundation, and served as the Associate Editor for My Green Doctor. She is a medical student at the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington DC.
Ronald H Saff MD
Dr. Saff is a physician in private practice at Allergy & Asthma Diagnostic Treatment Center, which first received its Green Office Certificate from My Green Doctor in June 2014. Dr. Saff is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at FSU College of Medicine and has served as an expert witness in litigation concerned with the health impacts of mold, sick building syndrome, “toxic” mold, drug allergy, food allergy, and asthma. He serves also as a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility.
Mona Sarfaty MD, MPH, FASFP
Dr. Sarfaty has been an initiator of innovative programs at every stage of her career, most notably as the founder and first President of the Medical Societies Consortium on Climate Change & Health where her focus for more than a decade has been on climate, health, and equity. She is skilled in building consensus, strategic alliances, nonprofit enterprises, public speaking, publishing, and health services research. Strong healthcare services professional trained in Family Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Sarfaty graduated from Harvard University, Stony Brook University Medical School, the Residency in Family Medicine, at the University of California San Francisco, and received her MPH from George Washington University.
